What Robux is really worth — buying, selling, and cashing out

What you pay going in, what you keep coming out, and why the two numbers are so far apart.

Buying

Robux is sold in bundles, and larger bundles cost less per Robux. A Premium subscription includes a monthly Robux allowance and also unlocks trading, which matters if you plan to trade at all.

Selling — you keep 70%

When you sell an item, Roblox takes 30% of the sale. Selling for 100 Robux leaves you 70. Any price you set should be worked backwards from what you want to keep.

Our calculator shows the amount after this fee so you are not planning around a number you will never see.

Cashing out (DevEx)

Developer Exchange converts Robux to real money, but it is not for everyone: there is a minimum balance, an age requirement, and a Premium subscription requirement. The rate is far below what you paid going in.

There is no free Robux

Every generator, every "free Robux" site, every code that promises Robux is either phishing for your login or wasting your time on surveys. Roblox has never given Robux out through a code.

Robux is not in-game currency

Bucks in Adopt Me, Beli in Blox Fruits, and cash in other games are separate currencies that cannot be converted back to Robux. An item worth a lot of in-game currency is not worth that much in Robux.
